Invented by Nikola Tesla in 1891, the Tesla coil can boost power from a wall socket or battery to millions of high-frequency volts. Here is how Tesla built it and how you can from off-the-shelf parts. Meet the beer-bottle capacitor. Lots of background on Tesla's practical applications. 27 illustrations

This highly recommend little book (Tesla Coil by George Trinkaus (1989)
from builders of today's Tesla style coils. Will be our first book deconstruction.
We will try and extract facts, construction recommendations etc. And where George points out this how Tesla did it we will and primary reference and pictures as we find them to confirm this.

While for both Tesla's techniques and those used by Mr, Tinkaus, we we seek possible underlying reasons, Electrodynamics beliefs and theories both old or modern. Also web links to the subjects ( like Antenna Theory, Transmission lines and even basic or vector mathematics)   giving us real fondation one these points. Perhaps you like I have been away from school for scores of years.

I will also share my own thoughts and theories on these if they differ on do not exist.
